Cody Johnson Surprises Stagecoach 2026 Audience With Boyz II Men Performance Of “On Bended Knee”

American Singer Cody Johnson was joined on stage by Boyz II Men at the Stagecoach Music Festival happening in California.

The country singer was on stage for his headlining set to end the night of Stagecoach day one, and at some point, he began to sing a cover of the iconic Boyz II Men song ‘On Bended Knee’, and to the audience’s delight, the group joined him on stage to sing their 1994 chart-topper song.

Present members of the famous boy band group who took the 90s by storm are: Nathan Morris, Wanyá Morris and Shawn Stockman.

‘The Painter’ singer’s performance at the yearly music festival arrived a week following his announcement to release a new studio album, Banks of Trinity, on June 26.

“On this album, I wanted to tell the story about my childhood.

“When I heard the song ‘Banks of the Trinity’ for the first time, it was like this portrait showed in my head of memories that I had honestly forgotten.

“It just took me back home to Sebastopol, Texas, where I grew up on the Trinity River. I had tears in my eyes when I heard it for the first time,” Johnson said in a press statement regarding the upcoming project.

The 2026 Stagecoach Country Music Festival is held from April 24 to 26 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California.
