EPL: Haaland, Cherki create records after Man City’s 2-1 win over Arsenal

Manchester City duo, Erling Haaland and Rayan Cherki, created records after their team defeated Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.
Recall that Man City won 2-1 against the Gunners at the Etihad Stadium, thanks to goals from Cherki and Haaland.
According to OptaJoe, Haaland is now the second player to score in four consecutive Premier League games against Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal, after late Liverpool striker Diogo Jota between September 2020 and March 2022.
Similarly, with 10 goals and 14 assists, Cherki has become the first player to reach 10 goals plus and 10 assists plus for Premier League clubs in all competitions this season.
Both Haaland and Cherki have been impressive since joining Pep Guardiola’s side from Borussia Dortmund and Lyon, respectively.
They will now hope to lead City to victory when they face Burnley in their next game on Wednesday.
