Kwara State governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq yesterday visited the six soldiers recently injured in a counterterrorism operation in Kemanji community in Kaiama Local Government Area.
According to a statement, several terrorists were eliminated in the fierce encounter in which three gallant soldiers paid the supreme price.
The governor, announced N20 million support for each of the fallen soldiers and N5 million each for those injured, describing the sacrifices of the security forces as priceless.
Commending the quality of care and the facilities at the Intensive Care Unit of the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital, AbdulRazaq thanked the security forces for their services to our fatherland.
AljazirahNigeria reports that the Monday attack which occurred at about 3am and ended at 5am claimed some lives and destroyed a military vehicle.
