The Israeli army blew up several homes on Monday evening in the town of Khiam in southern Lebanon, while also issuing an evacuation warning for a building in another town.
Lebanonâs National News Agency reported that âIsraeli enemy forces carried out a violent demolition operation targeting homes in the town of Khiam in the Marjayoun districtâ in the south of the country.
It added that the owner of a pharmacy in the town of Haret Saida, near Sidon in southern Lebanon, received a warning call ordering evacuation within 10 minutes.
After the municipality of Haret Saida informed Lebanese army intelligence, a full evacuation of the building began as a precaution, the agency said.
It added that gunfire was heard in the area to warn residents.
According to the agency, the pharmacy that received the evacuation call is located opposite the municipal building in Haret Saida.
Since 2nd March, Israel has launched an offensive on Lebanon that has killed 2,294 people, injured 7,544 others, and displaced more than one million people, according to the latest official figures.
