A Kaduna State High Court has postponed the hearing of the bail application filed by former governor Nasir el-Rufai to the first week of June 2026.
Justice Darius Khobo adjourned the matter on Tuesday after proceedings, further delaying a decision on the request.
The ex-governor was brought to court under the custody of operatives from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) and the Department of State Services.

Speaking to journalists after the session, his counsel, Ukpon Akpan, criticised the repeated postponements, alleging they were politically driven.
The case had earlier been adjourned on April 14, when the court fixed April 21 for a ruling on the bail application.
El-Rufai was arraigned on April 13 by the ICPC on an amended nine-count charge bordering on alleged fraud and abuse of office. The anti-graft agency had earlier dropped Amadu Sule, who was initially listed as a co-defendant.
In a separate matter before the Federal High Court in Kaduna, presided over by Rilwani Aikawa, the former minister had been granted bail in the sum of N200 million.
He has remained in ICPC custody since February 19, shortly after his release by the EFCC.
On March 27, he was briefly released on compassionate grounds following the death of his mother.
