Kebbi APC backs Tinubu’s second term at rally

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress gathered at the Birnin Kebbi Stadium on Saturday for a unity rally, reaffirming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, who addressed the crowd, said the turnout reflected support for both his administration and Tinubu’s leadership.
Idris said., “I will speak very little because I am overjoyed by this unprecedented crowd and the massive support we are enjoying. Myself, Kauran Gwandu, and President Tinubu are encouraged by the confidence the people of Kebbi State have shown.”
The governor described the rally as a demonstration of support, adding that ongoing efforts at the state and federal levels would continue.
“As you have pledged to return us for a second term, we will continue to deliver the dividends of democracy,” he said.
Idris also referred to what he described as increased federal presence in the state, linking it to alignment between the state and the Federal Government.
The rally was attended by party leaders, including the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Atiku Bagudu; Senator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero; APC National Organising Secretary, Suleiman Argungu; and former governor Saidu Nasamu Dakingari.
Party leaders said the gathering reflected unity within the APC in Kebbi State as preparations continue ahead of the next electoral cycle.
