No right thinking Igbo will vote Tinubu over Obi in 2027 – ADC’s Nwosu

A chieftain of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Benchuks Nwosu has said that no right thinking Igbo person will vote for President Bola Tinubu over Mr Peter Obi in the 2027 presidential election.

Nwosu, a former Deputy Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly and chairman of membership registration exercise in ADC made this declaration in Ukpor, Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State yesterday, during a gathering for the declaration of Obunike Ohaegbu for House of Representatives.

Ohaegbu, a lawyer and business man who holds a PhD in Law is running on the platform of the party to represent Nnewi North, Nnewi South and Ekwusigo federal constituency.

Nwosu while addressing party faithful said: “Peter Obi is the only Igbo man contesting for presidency in 2027. We know that some of you have APGA in your blood but APGA is not contesting presidency, so when you come to vote on that day, please vote for Peter Obi, to avoid wasting your vote.

“Tell the governor (Soludo) he is doing well, but we will not leave our brother to go and vote for Tinubu. We know that some APGA people will still want to vote for their party whether it is in the ballot or not, but that will amount to wasting your vote.

“Of course we know that nobody in Igbo land would vote for Tinubu because we are all in Nigeria and we can see how the country is going, and we do not need to be told that the best candidate is Mr Peter Obi.”

The House of Representatives aspirant, Ohaegbu, while declaring his intention for the position, said it was time for all to come together and rescue Nigeria by voting Tinubu and APC out of government.

“When that is done, our brother Peter Obi will need lawmakers to work with, and I’m offering myself. I have the capacity, I’m not going there to learn work, I’m already very established.

“I want to tell you that I’m not going to the National Assembly to provide boreholes or streetlights. We need solid infrastructure that will boost business for our people and that is what I’m going there to champion.”
