RAGE OVER ROSES: Turkish Boxer Jailed for Life After Deadly Punch Kills Florist

A moment of uncontrollable anger has landed Turkish boxer Kıvanç Şensöz behind bars for life after a shocking, deadly attack in Antalya.
What started as a seemingly minor social media dispute quickly spiraled into tragedy. Reports say tensions flared after a post involving a floral bouquet triggered outrage within the boxer’s household — setting the stage for a fatal confrontation.
Şensöz stormed into the florist’s shop in October 2024, where things turned violent in seconds. In a burst of rage, he delivered a devastating punch that left the unsuspecting victim with catastrophic head injuries. The florist later died from the impact.
The boxer was arrested immediately and remained in custody as the case moved swiftly through the courts.
On April 16, 2025, the hammer dropped.
An Antalya court found him guilty of intentional homicide under Turkish Penal Code Article 81 and sentenced him to life imprisonment — with no mercy, no reductions.
Under Turkish law, intentional killing carries the heaviest penalty, and in this case, judges ruled the attack was too severe to warrant leniency.
One punch. One life lost. One life locked away forever.
The chilling case is a stark reminder of how quickly anger can turn deadly — and how a split-second decision can cost everything.
