Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has claimed that Arsenal are not fully satisfied with striker Viktor Gyokeres despite the club’s Premier League triumph.
According to Owen, the North London side would be willing to replace the Swedish forward if a world-class striker in the mould of Arsenal legend Thierry Henry becomes available during the summer transfer window.
“Arsenal would love to find another centre-forward – they are not happy with Gyokeres, really. They are not happy with a couple of positions,” Owen told Premier League Productions.
“If someone becomes available that is top, if a Thierry Henry becomes available again, they’d move heaven and earth to get somebody like that in.”
Gyokeres joined Arsenal from Portuguese club Sporting CP last summer.
The 27-year-old scored 21 goals in 54 appearances for manager Mikel Arteta’s side during the campaign.
