Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, has joined the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and emerged as the party’s governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Gombe State.
Pantami secured the PDP ticket through voice affirmation during the party’s governorship primary election held on Tuesday in Gombe State.
He emerged as the sole aspirant and was unanimously affirmed by delegates who participated in the exercise.
The development marks Pantami’s formal entry into partisan electoral politics under the PDP platform ahead of the 2027 general elections.
