Eid-el-Adha: Federal Polytechnic Ile-Oluji Rector Urges Sacrifice, Kindness To The Needy

The Rector of Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Oluji, Dr. Ademola Iyanda Ebeloku, has extended warm Eid al-Adha greetings to Muslims within the institution and across Nigeria, urging citizens to embrace the virtues of sacrifice, obedience, love and compassion as they celebrate the 2026 Ileya festival.

In a goodwill message released to commemorate the Islamic celebration, Dr. Ebeloku, on behalf of his family and the management, staff and students of the Polytechnic, described Eid al-Adha as a significant period that rekindles hope and strengthens faith in Allah’s power over the affairs of mankind.

The Rector noted that the season serves as a reminder of the unwavering obedience and faith demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice his son in total submission to Allah’s command.

According to him, the lessons of the festival should inspire Nigerians to remain patient, faithful and steadfast, especially in difficult times, stressing that nothing is impossible through trust and obedience to God.

Dr. Ebeloku also called on Nigerians, particularly members of the Muslim community, to extend love and support to the needy and less-privileged during the celebration.

He urged residents to make meaningful sacrifices that would promote peace, resilience, gratitude and unity in society, while also encouraging the spirit of good neighbourliness and generosity.

The Rector wished Muslims across the country a peaceful, joyful and fulfilling Eid al-Adha celebration.
