Eid-el-Kabir: Aiyedatiwa felicitates Muslims

By Segun Giwa

Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State has felicitated with the Muslim Ummah in the state on the 2026 Eid-el-Kabir and urged them to uphold the virtues of sacrifice, tolerance and love.

This is contained in a statement signed by Aiyedatiwa and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Akure.

The governor described the celebration as a festival which symbolises unwavering faith, obedience and total submission to the will of Allah.

According to him, the celebration, which commemorates the sacrifice of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), should inspire Muslims and all residents to embrace charity, peaceful coexistence, and compassion for one another, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences.

“As an administration, we remain committed to fostering peace, unity and religious harmony across Ondo State.

“Muslims should use the occasion to pray for the continued peace, progress and development of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

“Residents should also extend support to the less privileged during the festive period and celebrate in moderation while observing all necessary safety precautions.

“This administration is committed to sustaining the peaceful atmosphere in the state. May Almighty Allah accept the prayers, sacrifices and good deeds of the faithful, and grant them abundant blessings, good health and prosperity,” he said. (NAN) (www.nannews.ng)
