Emily in Paris star Paul Forman has paid tribute to French actor Pierre Deny following his sudden death.
Forman shared an emotional message via his Instagram Stories on Wednesday, expressing sadness over Deny’s passing.
“Heartbroken to hear of the passing of Pierre Deny,” he wrote. “It was a privilege to work alongside him and to witness his warmth and talent up close.”
He concluded the tribute by extending condolences to Deny’s loved ones, writing, “Thinking of his family and loved ones. Rest in peace.”
The 32-year-old actor also shared a black-and-white photo of Deny alongside the message.
In Emily in Paris, Deny portrayed Louis de Léon, the CEO of the fictional luxury fashion company JVMA, during the show’s third and fourth seasons. Forman stars as Nicolas de Léon, Louis’ son.
Before Deny’s death, the series’s lead star, Lily Collins, recently revealed that filming for the show’s sixth season is underway.
“Annnnnd we’re back — for the last time,” Collins wrote on Instagram. “@emilyinparis takes on Greece (and of course France) for one final, epic adventure. Let’s make it the most incredibly special season yet!”
According to reports, Deny died on Monday at the age of 69 following a battle with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS).
