Explosion kills 55 people in Myanmar, wounds dozens, source unkown

An explosion from an unknown source on Sunday has killed 55 people in Myanmar and left dozens wounded.

The BBC reported that the Ta’ang National Liberation Army, which has been fighting with Myanmar’s military junta, claimed that explosives used in mining had exploded.

The report said that 25 women and 30 men had died in Kaung Tat, a village in Namkham Township in Shan State.
