Fayose’s Son, Ekiti Speaker Win APC Assembly Tickets For 2027

Boluwatife Fayose, son of former Ekiti State governor Ayodele Fayose, has emerged as one of the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 Ekiti State House of Assembly election.
Also among the winners are the Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, the Deputy Speaker, Bolaji Olagbaju, and the Chairman of Ekiti South-West Local Government, Richard Apolola.
The results were announced in Ado Ekiti by the Chairman of the APC House of Assembly Primary Election Committee for the state, Lateef Ibirogba, after receiving collation reports from across the 26 constituencies.
Ibirogba said the party adopted a two-stage process for the primaries, with 17 constituencies producing candidates through affirmation, while elections were held in the remaining nine constituencies.
According to him, several aspirants were returned unopposed and affirmed as candidates, while others emerged through competitive voting across their constituencies.
Those affirmed include Ayorinde Ogunsakin (Ikole 1), Olaoye Ogunsakin (Ekiti East 2), Bose Olowookere (Efon), Bolaji Olagbaju (Ado 2), Oludare Ogunlana (Ekiti South West 2), Kemi Olaleye (Oye 2), Emmanuel Omotayo (Ise/Orun), Johnson Oyekola (Ekiti West 2), Sunkanmi Owolabi (Ikere 2), and Ojo Adeolu (Ido-Osi 1).
Others are Atinuke Omolayo (Emure), Sunkanmi Onipede (Moba 1), Kemisola Ogunleye (Ikere 1), Agbede Opeyemi (Irepodun-Ifelodun 1), Yomi Ayorinde (Ido-Osi 2), Adeoye Aribasoye (Ikole 2), and Olalekan Ijidale (Gbonyin).
For constituencies where elections were conducted, winners include Ahmed Olutope (Ekiti East 1), Monsurat Oladipupo (Ekiti West 1), Richard Apolola (Ekiti South West 1), Ayodeji Adarabierin (Ado 1), Emmanuel Omolaja (Ilejemeje), Boluwatife Fayose (Irepodun-Ifelodun 2), Eyitayo Fabunmi (Oye 1), Kole Ayeni (Ijero), and Matthew Kekereawo (Moba 2).
