Give Us Power To Defend Ourselves, Ruth Kadiri Tells President Tinubu

Popular Nollywood actress and film producer, Ruth Kadiri Ezerike, has appealed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to take urgent steps to address the rising wave of insecurity across the country.
The actress made the call via her social media handle following public outrage over the recent killing of a school teacher by bandits in Oyo State.
Expressing deep concern over the safety of citizens, Kadiri stated that the level of insecurity had become alarming, urging the administration to either deploy stronger measures or allow citizens the right to self-defence to protect their lives and properties.
“This is not propaganda! This is not your enemies trying to make you look bad. And even if they were, You can’t leave your house on fire. Dear president Tinubu, please do something… Or give us the go-ahead to protect our lives and properties,” the actress wrote.
She further lamented the loss of innocent lives to criminal elements, stating that the continuous attacks have made many Nigerians feel unsafe even within their homes and communities.
