Oba Adeyeye Enitan, Tunji Disu, Government Tompolo, Adaora Umeoji, Others For Transparency Awards

The organisers of the National Hero Transparency Awards 2026 have officially unveiled distin­guished Nigerians selected for recognition in this year’s edition of the awards ceremony.

Leading the list of nominees are, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogun­wusi, CFR, who is widely rec­ognised as a traditional leader with national visibility through cultural diplomacy , interfaith engagement, youth initiatives and advocacy for unity.

Government Oweizide Ek­pemupolo (Tompolo), Chairman of Tantita Security Services; Emomotimi Agama, Direc­tor-General of SEC; Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye; Maruf Olatunji Alausa; Nneka Onyea­li-Ikpe; Adaora Umeoji; Ebenezer Kolawole; Tein Jack-Rich; and Bashir Adewale Adeniyi.

Other nominees include Tunji Disu, the IGP, Abisoye Coker-Odu­sote; Justice G. M Umar; Tola Odeyemi ; Daniel Kolawole Olu­koya; Abubakar Dantsoho; Tosin Eniolorunda; Olohundare Mos­hood Jimoh; Leonard Obie; Fola­shade Olukoya; Samuel Ogbuku; and Ahmed Mohamed Sanusi, Zubaida Umar, among others.

The organisers announced that the Guest Speaker for the oc­casion will be Olusegun Olusewe.

The ceremony is scheduled to hold at Lagos Airport Hotel on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 5.pm.

According to the Chairman of the National Hero Transparen­cy Awards, Tim Okojie-Ave, the event will attract notable per­sonalities from across Nigeria and will serve as a platform to celebrate integrity, accountabil­ity, transparency, and exemplary leadership at a time when ethical values continue to draw national attention.

He stated that the awards seek to recognise individuals and in­stitutions whose contributions have strengthened public trust and inspired positive change in society.
