President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) direct presidential primary election in Ogun State after securing all the votes cast during the exercise.
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, who served as the state coordinator and collation officer for the presidential primary election, announced the result on Saturday.
Governor Abiodun disclosed that the party recorded a total of 343,407 registered members across Ogun State, out of which 323,164 members were accredited to participate in the primary election.
He added that a total of 322,485 votes were cast during the exercise.
According to the governor, President Tinubu secured 322,485 votes to emerge victorious, while another aspirant, Mr. Stanley Osifo Osayamen, polled zero votes.
Abiodun described the election as peaceful, transparent, and orderly, noting that the process reflected the democratic values and unity within the APC in Ogun State.
“By the authority vested in me by the National Working Committee of our great party, I hereby declare President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the winner of the 2026 APC direct presidential primary election in Ogun State,” the governor said.
He congratulated the president on his victory and reaffirmed the commitment of APC members and stakeholders in Ogun State to the party’s continued growth and success ahead of the 2027 general elections.
