Transfer: Barcelona decide on Rashford after Gordon agreement

FC Barcelona have reportedly made a decision on the future of Marcus Rashford after agreeing a £70 million deal for Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United.

Gordon’s expected arrival at Barcelona had sparked speculation over Rashford’s future following his impressive loan spell at the Catalan club.

According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona’s hierarchy still plans to pursue a permanent deal for Rashford this week, although the club are not interested in extending his stay on another loan agreement.

Rashford spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Barcelona from Manchester United.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a strong season under manager Hansi Flick, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists across all competitions.

Rashford has also reportedly made it clear that he wants to remain at the Nou Camp beyond this summer.
