Bondi Beach mass shooting hero Ahmed al-Ahmed charged with domestic violence, stalking, assault

Ahmed al-Ahmed, the man who disarmed one of the terrorists during the Bondi Beach mass shooting in December 2025, has been charged with assault, ABC News reported on Thursday.Ahmed, 44, has been accused of assaulting his father during a domestic incident in March, ABC reported. He was charged with domestic violence, common violence, stalking, and intimidation.He told Australian media that the allegations were "fake information … it's not true at all."Ahmed, a Syrian-born Muslim from Sydney, disarmed one of the shooters during the Bondi Beach massacre, during which 15 people were killed, and at least 40 people were wounded. Ahmed was shot several times in the process during his successful attempt to wrestle the assault rifle from Sajid Akram, one of the gunmen in the mass shooting.Ahmed was hospitalized and required multiple serious surgeries. His heroism was praised by several world leaders on social media, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Australian Prime Minister Anthony
