Emir Of Kagara Appoints Garba Attahiru Ciroman Kagara

The Emir of Kagara, Malam Ahmed Garba Gunna, has appointed Mohammed Garba Attahiru as the new Ciroman Kagara and a member of the Kagara Emirate Council.
In the appointment letter made available to LEADERSHIP yesterday, the monarch said Attahiru’s appointment took effect from 27th May, 2026.
He said the new Ciroman is expected to perform the functions of the new office as prescribed by the tradition of the Kagara Emirate Council.
The Emir said, “Considering your track record of selfless service to the Emirate. I His Royal Highness (HRH), Malam Ahmed Garba Gunna, Emir of Kagara hereby confer on you the traditional title of Ciroma Kagara with effect from 27TH May, 2026.”
He told the new Ciroman that he is expected to exhibit a high sense of responsibility, personal integrity and decorum, which are the hallmarks of a worthy and trusted leader.
The Emir said by this conferment, Attahiru was also expected to fully participate in all the activities of the Emirate, especially by discharging such responsibility that may be assigned to him from time to time.
He added that, “You are equally required to strive hard in the realisation of the Emirate Council’s objectives of fostering peace, unity and progress of the Emirate.”
While congratulating and wishing Attahiru well in his new assignment, the Emir assured him that the Emirate will always welcome his valuable advice and contribution to the progress of the Emirate.
