Gbajabiamila At 64: Laguda, Odunuga-Bakare Donate Relief Materials To Orphanage, Support New Mothers

As part of activities marking the 64th birthday of the Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the member representing Surulere Constituency I in the House of Representatives, Fuad Kayode Laguda, and the APC candidate for the Surulere constituency 1 State House of Assembly seat, Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, have donated cash, food items and other essential materials to an orphanage and families of newborn babies in Surulere, Lagos.

The outreach saw the duo visit the Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice in Surulere and the Maternal and Child Care Facility at Randle General Hospital, where they extended support to vulnerable children and new mothers.

At the orphanage, the delegation presented food items, beverages and cleaning supplies to the children, while families of babies delivered at the maternal and child care facility received cash gifts.

Speaking during the presentation, Chief of Staff to Hon. Laguda, Martins Megbon, said the gesture was organised to celebrate and honour Gbajabiamila’s 64th birthday through acts of compassion and service.

“Today, on behalf of Fuad Kayode Laguda and Barr. Barakat Odunuga-Bakare, we are here to celebrate our supreme leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, on his 64th birthday by donating essential materials to Hearts of Gold Children’s Hospice and cash gifts to families of babies delivered today at the Maternal and Child Care Facility of Randle General Hospital,” he said.

Megbon noted that the initiative reflected the humanitarian values for which Gbajabiamila is widely known.

“This initiative is the same that Gbajabiamila is known for. He is a humanitarian per excellence, and what better way to celebrate him than to follow in his footsteps.

“We are celebrating years of commitment to development, service to humanity and continuous efforts to ensure the dividends of democracy reach all and sundry,” he added.
