Gombe ADC Assembly Aspirant Dantori Defects To PDP, Backs Pantami’s Governorship Bid

A State House of Assembly aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Mubarak Musa Dantori, has defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and declared support for the governorship ambition of Professor Isa Ali Pantami ahead of the 2027 elections in Gombe State.
Dantori announced his defection in a letter addressed to the Pantami Ward PDP chairman shortly after resigning his membership of the ADC on Friday.
He said his decision to join the PDP was informed by his commitment to supporting the emerging “Pantamiyya” movement, which he described as a platform for visionary leadership and sustainable development in the state.
According to him, Professor Pantami’s track record in public service, humanitarian interventions, and youth empowerment made him a credible candidate for the governorship position.
He noted that the former minister of communications and digital economy had consistently demonstrated commitment to improving livelihoods through initiatives aimed at creating opportunities for young people and promoting socio-economic growth.
Dantori expressed confidence that the Pantamiyya movement would foster inclusive governance and accelerate development in Gombe State.
He added that his political realignment was driven by the need to align with leadership that prioritises service delivery and grassroots development.
