‘I Can No Longer See’ – Fuji Star Remi Aluko Opens Up on Glaucoma Battle

Popular Nigerian Fuji musician Remi Aluko has revealed that he has lost his eyesight due to complications from glaucoma, saying he can no longer see and now lives with severe visual impairment.

He made the disclosure during a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, where he spoke candidly about his long-standing health challenges and how he has continued to cope despite his condition.

According to the singer, he has been battling glaucoma for years and had previously undergone eye surgery, but his vision has continued to deteriorate over time.

“I’m a glaucoma patient. I’m managing myself; I’m currently not seeing. There’s no difference between me and a blind person now,” he said.

Aluko added that although many people are unaware of the severity of his condition, he has chosen to remain strong and avoid letting it affect his mental health.

“Thank God that I know how to take care of myself like someone who can see. I decided not to dwell on my condition because I don’t want to be depressed,” he said.

The Fuji star noted that despite his loss of sight, he continues to manage his daily life with resilience and support, stressing that he prefers not to be defined by his medical condition.

Glaucoma is a serious eye disease that damages the optic nerve, often leading to gradual and irreversible vision loss if not properly managed or treated early.
