“I Don’t Force Myself on Them, They’re the Ones Who Pay for Service” – Woman Accused of Spreading Infection Speaks After Being Apprehended by Youths
Tension reportedly gripped a community port Harcourt on Saturday after a woman accused of knowingly spreading a sexually transmitted infection was apprehended by a group of local youths.
According to report Trending Video, the incident occurred after residents raised concerns about several individuals who allegedly claimed to have contracted an infection after engaging in intimate relations with the woman. The allegations quickly spread across the community, prompting some youths to confront and detain her before local authorities intervened.
In a trending video said to have been recorded during the confrontation, the woman denied intentionally infecting anyone and insisted that she never forced herself on anyone.
“I don’t force myself on them; they’re the ones that pay for my service,” she was heard saying while responding to questions from those gathered at the scene.
The woman further maintained that she was being unfairly blamed and argued that adults who engage in consensual relationships should also take responsibility for their decisions.
Community members, however, expressed concern over the allegations and called on health authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly. Some residents also urged people to prioritize regular medical check-ups and practice safe sexual behaviour to prevent the spread of infections.
Health experts often warn against stigmatizing individuals accused of having sexually transmitted infections, stressing that proper medical testing and professional investigations are necessary before conclusions are reached.
