“I Watched It Live”- US Official Claims 199 Jihadists Killed in Nigeria in Biggest Raid Since 9/11

A senior United States counterterrorism official, Sebastian Gorka, has claimed that 199 jihadists were killed during a military operation in Nigeria, describing it as the largest enemy neutralization since the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Speaking during a public appearance, Gorka said he watched the operation unfold live from the White House Situation Room, comparing the experience to “being in a Tom Clancy movie.”

“You wanna know whether we’re winning? Three weeks ago, in Nigeria, and I watched it live from the Situation Room. It was like being in a Tom Clancy movie, but it’s better because it’s real.”

According to Gorka, the operation resulted in the deaths of 199 jihadists.

“I watched our operators kill 199 jihadists in one operation. Now, why is this important? That is the biggest neutralization, enemy killed in action, since September the 11th. One hundred and ninety-nine jihadists who will not harm Americans again.”

He further revealed that the operation produced what he described as an unprecedented intelligence haul, saying an additional aircraft was required to transport the electronic devices and materials recovered from the terrorists’ camps.

“From that raid, we brought home—we needed an extra plane to bring home all the electronic material that we captured in those camps. And the haul was three times bigger than any enemy electronics haul since 9/11.”

According to Gorka, counterterrorism experts are now analyzing the recovered materials to better understand how ISIS operatives communicate.

“That is priceless because now, our experts are taking apart all of that information, looking how ISIS is communicating with each other. So we are so back in the game of counter-terrorism. It is just superlative to watch our professionals.”
