The report claiming Monimichelle Sports failed on the Ugborodo stadium project and the Aper Aku stadium in Makurdi by former Super Eagles goalkeeper and self-acclaimed prophet, Idah Peterside, is entirely false and misleading.
A spokesperson for the company, Wilson Odion, said the allegations against the company is a campaign of calumny to extort money.
MD of Monimichelle, Ebi Egbe, says he would never succumb to blackmail in a bid to share project money with political jobbers who feel entitled to funds provided by the state government to build sporting infrastructure, noting that the many years of his company’s operation speak volumes.
On the Ugborodo project, Monimichelle completed phase one of it and the project only stalled when the NFF altered the site drawing while still owing the company about 700,000USD.
“We remain proud of our work and stand by the quality delivered just yet,” said a spokesperson for the company. All project documents and completion or sub-completion reports are available for verification, the statement added.
