IGP Disu launches nationwide campaign against cultism, drug abuse

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has launched a nationwide campaign against cultism and other social vices under the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV).

In a statement on Sunday, the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Anietie Okokon Edem Iniedu, said the initiative, which begins across all State Commands, is aimed at tackling cultism, drug abuse, violent crime, and other social vices through grassroots sensitization, early intervention, and community engagement.

He added that the campaign will partner with schools, communities, religious organisations, and other stakeholders to promote positive values, protect young people from criminal influences, and strengthen preventive policing nationwide.
