‘Immunizer’ Remanded Over Alleged Cyberbullying Of Mohbad’s Widow

Oladimeji Hammed, popularly known as “Immunizer,” has been remanded at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos, following his arraignment before the Samuel Ilori Magistrate Court, Ogba, over allegations bordering on cyberbullying and defamation against Omowunmi Cynthia Aloba, widow of late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The defendant, who was arrested on Monday, was brought before the court on multiple counts of allegedly using online platforms to malign, ridicule and expose the complainant to public hatred.

Although he was granted bail, the court ordered that he remains in custody until he is able to meet the stringent bail conditions imposed.

The presiding Magistrate ruled that the defendant must produce two sureties, each of whom must show evidence of a bank account balance of at least N700,000. One of the sureties is required to be a serving civil servant at the state level, while the second must be a blood relative. Both sureties are also mandated to present proof of up-to-date tax compliance.

According to the charge, Hammed is alleged to have made several online publications between February and March 2026, which the prosecution said were capable of injuring the reputation and safety of the complainant.

On February 8, 2026, he was alleged to have written that the widow was planning to leave Nigeria before justice was served in the case surrounding her late husband. He was also accused of publishing on February 11 that she did not deny allegations of infidelity during a court proceeding.

In another instance on February 19, he allegedly circulated claims relating to a purported leak of the complainant’s private images, while on March 14, he was said to have made further derogatory remarks about her character on social media.

The prosecution told the court that the cumulative effect of the publications exposed Aloba to public ridicule, hostility, and harassment, which reportedly culminated in an attack on her by members of the public on March 15, 2026.

The case has been adjourned to a later date for further hearing.
