JOF U-13 Tourney: Last Four Teams Battle For Final Tickets

The battle for the final tickets of the 7th edition of the JOF Under-13 Football Tournament 2026 organized by the Lagos State Grassroots Football Association and principally sponsored by JOF Nigeria Limited holds today, Saturday, June 6 at the CMS Primary Schhol Playing ground, Bariga, Bariga Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State.
The JOF Under-13 competition has once again spotlighted talented grassroots footballers across the state.
In the first semifinal encounter, Soccer City FA of Iwaya will trade tackles with VI Foot of Ijora by 1pm while Ultimate FA of Coker will battle Fortune FA of Oshodi by 2pm.
The competition ran from February 6 to April 7 this year, featuring 64 clubs drawn from 57 Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Areas (LCDA) across Lagos State. A total of 84 matches were played on three different pitches in the state.
According to Mr. Adeyinka Adetunji, Managing Director of JOF Nigeria Limited, Transportation Division, and Chairman of the JOF Under-13 Football Tournament Organising Committee, this year’s edition is expected to be the loudest and most highly anticipated showcase of Lagos’ youngest stars.
He said: “The semifinal matches tend to be very explosive and entertaining judging from the standard of this year’s competition.
“The four teams in the semifinals are very strong and boast of talented players who are very young. Football fans would have a lot to cheer as the players are expected to live up to expectations”.
A veteran journalist and one of those covering the tournament from inception, Taiwo Adelu, commended the foresight of the management of JOF Nigeria Limited in sponsorship of the tournament.
According to Adelu, with the sponsorship, JOF Nigeria Limited has helped to take some of the youths off the streets through their participation in the tournament.
Adelu said: “We must all commend the management of JOF Nigeria Limited for the sponsorship of this tournament. The management has really helped to take some of the youths off the streets and I want to urge other corporate ogranisations to emulate JOF Nigeria Limited.
“Again wth the sponsorship, grassroots football development in Lagos state has taken a new dimension forward positively and kudos should be given to JOF Nigeria Limited”, he said.
