Katy Perry Confirms Justin Trudeau Relationship

Katy Perry declared her love for former Canadian prime minister Justin Trudeau Monday night, making their red-carpet debut as a couple at the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of her Lifetimes Tour concert film in New York City.
“I am very in love,” Perry told the audience during a Q&A session at the OKX Theatre, drawing cheers from the crowd. She called Trudeau “the love of my life” and credited the relationship with keeping her grounded through the rigours of touring. “I fly super high. Sometimes I need to be anchored. To have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole.”
Trudeau had first been spotted at Perry’s Lifetimes stop in Montreal last May, where fan footage showed him watching her perform the Billboard Hot 100-topping hit “Firework.” Monday’s Tribeca premiere, however, marked their first official public appearance as a couple.
Perry’s relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, with whom she shares daughter Daisy Dove, ended roughly two months after the Lifetimes Tour launched in April 2025.
In a joint statement to Billboard, their representatives said the former couple had been “shifting their relationship to focus on co-parenting” after nine years together.
The concert film, which screened at the festival, documents the Lifetimes Tour in support of Perry’s 2024 album 143, which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
