Lady Shares How Her Man Blamed Apartment for Bad Luck, Takes Loan to Move, Loses ₦700,000 to Betting

  • A man blamed his apartment for years of financial struggles and took a loan to move out.
  • Shortly after relocating, he reportedly lost ₦700,000 to betting, sparking reactions online.

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing the story of a man who blamed his apartment for his financial struggles, only to suffer an even bigger setback after relocating.

According to the post shared on X, the man had become convinced that the house he rented was responsible for his inability to make financial progress despite living there for three years.

The lady, identified as Ebun, explained that the man repeatedly complained that every salary he received disappeared within days, leaving him with little or nothing to show for his earnings.

“My guy believes the house he rented is taking his glory.

“He’s been living there for 3 years and says he has nothing to show for it. Every time he gets paid, the money disappears within days,” she wrote.

Determined to change his fortunes, the man reportedly took a loan from his cooperative society and used the funds to rent another apartment, believing a change of environment would solve his problems.

However, things did not go as planned.

According to the lady, shortly after moving into the new apartment, the man lost ₦700,000 through betting.

“Convinced the house was the problem, he took a loan from his cooperative and rented another apartment.

“Yesterday, he lost ₦700,000 to betting,” she added.

The post quickly went viral, with many social media users arguing that the man’s financial challenges had more to do with his spending habits and gambling than the apartment he previously occupied.
