Minister Urges Couples To Respect Marital Institution

Minister of Labour and Productivity, Alhaji Muhammadu Maigari Dingyadi, has enjoined newlyweds to respect the institution of marriage for societal development.
The minister gave the piece of advice when he stood in as the bride’s father at the solemnisation of the union between A’isha Yusuf Dingyadi and Bashir M. Bashir during the wedding Fatiha at Sultan Dan Ma’azu Jumu’at Mosque on Friday in Sokoto.
A’isha is the daughter of the senior special assistant to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman on Media
The marriage was solemnised by the Chief Imam of Dan Mua’azu Juma’at Mosque, Sheikh Usman Aliyu, after the payment of a bride price of N200,000.
The event was attended by dignitaries including the secretary to the Sokoto state government (SSG), Alhaji Bello Sifawa, who represented Governor Ahmed Aliyu; the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) factional chairman, Alhaji Bello Goronyo; the executive chairman Zakkat Commission, Alhaji Lawal Maidoki and some past and serving legislators at federal and state levels.
