Nigerian media personality Toke Makinwa has expressed mixed emotions as her daughter approaches her first birthday.
In a playful video shared online, the proud mother was seen having fun with her adorable little girl while reflecting on how quickly time has passed. Toke admitted that she never expected to be so overwhelmed by the experience of her daughter beginning to show affection in return.
According to her, the toddler now showers her with hugs, gazes at her with admiration, flashes heartwarming smiles, and even playfully tugs at her eyelashes.
As her daughter prepares to celebrate her first birthday, Toke revealed that she is feeling emotional about the milestone. She confessed that she is not ready to let go of the baby phase and is finding it difficult to accept how fast her child is growing.

“I wasn’t ready for when she started loving me back.
All of the feels in the world.
My baby gives me hugs now,
She looks at me like I am the whole world,
She smiles at me, and it doesn’t matter what sort of day I’ve had,

My baby will be turning 1 soon, and though I look forward to the toddler I get to meet, I am currently so emotional, I don’t want to say goodbye to the baby stage, but you gotta fly, baby,
