The New Dynamic Forum (NDF) for Tinubu and Sheriff 2027, under the leadership of its National Chairman, Mr. S.K. Palama, has called on all its members across Udu Local Government Area to intensify grassroots sensitization on the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In a statement issued by the Director General of the Forum, Chief Hon. Igho Akpojotor, members of the organization, particularly Ward Coordinators and Unit Coordinators, were urged to embark on aggressive mobilization and awareness campaigns to ensure that eligible citizens obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
According to Chief Akpojotor, the PVC remains the most important instrument through which citizens exercise their constitutional right to elect leaders of their choice.
He emphasized that without a voter’s card, no individual would be able to participate in the electoral process.
The Director General therefore appealed to all members of the Forum to take the message to every community, unit, and ward within Udu, stressing the need for collective action to boost voter participation ahead of future elections.
He encouraged those who have attained the age of 18 and are yet to register to take advantage of the ongoing exercise to obtain their voter cards. He also advised individuals who wish to transfer their voting locations to new areas of residence to process their transfers promptly. Furthermore, those whose voter cards have been lost, damaged, or defaced were urged to apply for replacements through the appropriate INEC channels.
Chief Akpojotor noted that active participation in the voter registration exercise is not only a civic responsibility but also a critical step towards strengthening Nigeria’s democratic process.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the New Dynamic Forum (NDF) to promoting political awareness, citizen participation, and support for democratic institutions at the grassroots level.
The Forum, therefore, called on the general public to respond positively to the sensitization campaign by ensuring they register, update their details where necessary, and secure their Permanent Voter Cards.
“Every vote counts, but only those with valid voter cards can cast their votes. Let us all play our part in shaping the future of our communities and our nation by participating fully in the voter registration exercise,” the statement concluded.
