Former Director General of Atiku Youth Wing and current Director General of The Bridge for Renewed Hope, Hon. Odih Rowland, has commended the Federal Government’s efforts to strengthen economic coordination and deepen fiscal reforms, describing them as critical steps toward achieving President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ambitious $1 trillion economy target.
In a statement issued on Friday in Abuja, Rowland said the administration’s renewed emphasis on policy coordination among key economic institutions reflects a strategic approach to restoring investor confidence, enhancing revenue generation and accelerating sustainable economic growth.
He noted that the ongoing reforms demonstrate a commitment to tackling longstanding structural challenges within the economy while creating opportunities for investment, job creation and national development.
According to him, effective collaboration between fiscal and monetary authorities remains essential for achieving macroeconomic stability and unlocking Nigeria’s vast economic potential.
“The efforts by the President Tinubu-led Federal Government reflect a deliberate and commendable approach to driving inclusive growth and renewed hope,” Rowland stated.
He argued that reforms aimed at boosting non-oil revenue, improving tax administration, strengthening budget implementation and promoting economic diversification would provide a stronger foundation for long-term economic prosperity.
Rowland also expressed support for the administration’s $1 trillion economy agenda, stressing that its success would depend on sustained reforms, infrastructure development, improved governance and active private-sector participation.
He urged stakeholders across both the public and private sectors to rally behind the reform programme, noting that it aligns with the objectives of the Renewed Hope Agenda and offers a pathway to national development.
“The vision of a $1 trillion economy is achievable if all stakeholders remain focused on productivity, innovation, transparency and economic competitiveness. Nigeria possesses the human and natural resources necessary to attain this goal, and I know President Tinubu is committed to the prosperity of Nigerians,” he said.
The political figure expressed optimism that the reforms currently being implemented would yield positive outcomes, improve living standards and strengthen Nigeria’s position in the global economy.
His remarks come amid ongoing efforts by the Federal Government to stabilise the economy, broaden the revenue base and attract investment as part of its broader economic transformation agenda.
