The Osun governor also commended the professionalism and resilience of the nation’s security forces, noting that their coordinated efforts led to the victims’ release.

He specifically mentioned the Nigerian Army, Navy, Air Force, Police Force, Department of State Services, National Intelligence Agency, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Office of the National Security Adviser, National Counter Terrorism Centre and Defence Headquarters for what he called painstaking operations.

Adeleke praised the security personnel for conducting the operation with restraint, ensuring the victims were freed unharmed while dismantling the criminal network behind the abduction.

He paid tribute to security personnel who made sacrifices during the operation, praying for the repose of those who died and a quick recovery for those injured.

The governor said the development underscores the need for sustained synergy among security institutions in tackling terrorism, banditry and other violent crimes across the country.

He further urged security agencies, particularly the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, to maintain the momentum in the fight against criminal elements in the state.
