The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Benin Region, wishes to inform the public of a scheduled outage at its Ondo 132/33kV Transmission Substation on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, from 8 am to 6 pm.
The planned outage is to enable TCN engineers to transfer the Ife-Ondo 132kV Transmission Line from the proposed Omotosho-Ondo 132kV Transmission Line bay to the Ife-Ondo 132kV Line bay.
The commissioning of a newly installed 60MVA 132/33kV transformer will be carried out simultaneously at the substation. Consequently, Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) will be unable to provide power supply to its customers in Okitipupa and Ondo Town for 10 hours on Wednesday, June 30, 2026, only.
TCN apologises for any inconvenience this will cause electricity consumers in the affected areas.
