Primaries: Governorship candidate accuses Kebbi NDC Chairman of compromise

The Kebbi State Governorship candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon Faruk Umar Besse has accused the Kebbi state chairman of the NDC of compromise in the party primaries.
Addressing journalists during a media parley in his office in Abuja, Hon.Faruk appealed to party leaders to allow democracy to thrive within the party.
Hon.Faruk who had earlier paid a brief visit to the NDC National Secretariat notet that he observed protesters demonstrating against the results of the just concluded primary elections.
Speaking on the situation in Kebbi State, he alleged that the state chairman of the NDC compromised the process, which prompted the petition submitted to the party headquarters.
In a swift response, party leaders suspended the said chairman and appointed an interim chairman to oversee the Kebbi State office of the NDC.
Also speaking on the development, the newly appointed chairman, Hon. Umar B. Suleiman Ribah, stated that he is committed to serving the party effectively and restoring confidence in the state chapter.
