Kebbi state hisbah has said that it has arrested four fake hisbah operatives in Birnin Kebbi on Monday.
The arrest was disclosed by Kebbi state hisbah Director Malam Surajo Usman Kamba when contact by our correspondent.
According to him, the fake hisbah operatives were reportedly extorting money from suspects to the tune of one hundred thousand naira to cover their nefarious activities.
“The operatives are fake and we have summarily arrested them but I won’t give their names here because we are handing them over to the police for deep investigations and actions”.
He admonished people of Kebbi state to be wary of fraudsters saying authentic hisbah operatives don’t extort or cover any person for his crimes.
Surajo added that any hisbah operative who effect arrest anywhere always takes the suspect to the office therefore those fake operatives will squarely face the law to serve as detterants to others who may want to indulge in such dastard behavior.
