Pro-Tinubu Group Appoints Ex-Kaduna Rep Aspirant Antonza As Secretary-General

A former aspirant for the House of Representatives seat under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sanga/Jema’a Federal Constituency of Kaduna State, Hon. Joyce Viyanto Antonza, has been appointed as the National Secretary General of the Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB), a prominent support group championing the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.
Her appointment has been hailed by supporters and political associates as a recognition of her dedication to grassroots mobilisation, women empowerment, community development, and commitment to the ideals of the APC.
Antonza contested for the APC ticket for the Sanga/Jema’a Federal Constituency seat during the 2026 party primaries and was widely commended for demonstrating loyalty and political maturity when she stepped down in support of the incumbent lawmaker, Hon. Dan Amos, in the interest of party unity and cohesion.
Known for her advocacy on issues affecting women, children, and vulnerable groups, Antonza has built a reputation as a community leader committed to social development, mental health awareness, and inclusive governance.
Political associates described her emergence as National Secretary General of the Tinubu Torch Bearers as a strategic move that would strengthen the organisation’s structure and expand its reach across the country.
Beyond her political engagements, Antonza serves as the APC Women Professional Leader for the Ireland Chapter, where she has championed initiatives aimed at increasing women’s participation in governance, leadership, and democratic processes.
She has also played active roles in grassroots mobilization, policy advocacy, mentorship, and community development programmes designed to improve citizen engagement and strengthen democratic participation.
As Convener of the Renewed Hope Women’s Network, Antonza has coordinated several empowerment initiatives focused on improving the socio-economic and political participation of women and young girls. Through advocacy campaigns and capacity-building programmes, she has continued to promote inclusive leadership and sustainable development.
Political observers noted that her appointment reflects the growing recognition of women leaders within the APC and the broader political landscape, particularly those who have demonstrated commitment to party development, community service, and nation-building.
Speaking on her new role, Antonza reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives that promote good governance, women empowerment, youth development, and social welfare.
She pledged to work closely with members of the Tinubu Torch Bearers across the country to advance the objectives of the organisation and contribute meaningfully to the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda.
Her appointment is expected to strengthen the group’s mobilization efforts as it continues to promote the policies and programmes of the Tinubu administration while encouraging greater citizen participation in governance.
Stakeholders expressed confidence that, with her experience in leadership, advocacy, and community engagement, Antonza would bring innovation, value, and strategic direction to her new position as National Secretary General of the Tinubu Torch Bearers.
