Senator Simon Bako Lalong, representing Plateau South Senatorial District, has donated N10 million towards the roofing project of St. Joseph Parish, Doemak, in Qua’an Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State. Lalong announced the donation while serving as Chief Launcher at a fundraising event organised by the parish to support the completion of its church building project.
Speaking at the event, the former Plateau State governor described the project as a significant effort to provide a suitable place of worship for Catholic faithful and the wider community. He commended the parish leadership and members for their commitment to completing the project despite economic challenges, noting that the progress recorded so far reflects the unity and resilience of the congregation.
Lalong also praised residents of Doemak for their contributions to community development and urged continued support until the project is completed. In his remarks, the Long Pan thanked the senator for his support to the community and offered prayers for his continued success in public service.
The Parish Priest also expressed appreciation to Lalong for attending the event and supporting the project, describing the donation as a major contribution toward the completion of the church building.
