TCN Restores Power To Kumbotso 330kV Transmission Substation 

The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Kano Region, wishes to inform the public that following the completion of planned maintenance at the Kumbotso 330kV Transmission Substation, the substation and affected transmission lines have been energised and normal power supply was fully restored at approximately 4:30 p.m. today, Sunday, 28th June, 2026.

The maintenance was executed as part of TCN’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the transmission network and enhance power supply reliability.

Consequently, Kano Electricity Distribution Company (KEDCO), Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC), and Yola Electricity Distribution Company (YEDC) have resumed power off-take for supply to their customers in Kano, Katsina, and Jigawa States, as well as Azare in Bauchi State, Nguru in Yobe State, and Gazaoua in the Republic of Niger.
