  • Her fiancé, Habeeb Hamzat, also known as Peller, proposed in Accra, Ghana.
  • The couple chose Ghana for the proposal to ensure a peaceful and stress-free experience.

Nigerian TikTok star Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis or Jadrolita, has opened up about the reason her fiancé, Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, decided to pop the question in Ghana rather than in Nigeria.

According to Jarvis, the couple selected Accra as the location for the proposal to ensure a peaceful and stress-free experience. She explained that their decision was largely influenced by security concerns and a desire to avoid any form of interruption on their special day.

The engagement, which took place at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, quickly became a trending topic online after videos and photos from the romantic beachfront setup surfaced on social media. Fans and well-wishers flooded the internet with congratulatory messages as news of the proposal spread.

Speaking during a recent livestream, Jarvis dismissed suggestions that Ghana was chosen for luxury or publicity purposes. Instead, she revealed that she and Peller were worried that holding the proposal in Nigeria could attract unwanted attention.

She noted that there were concerns about potential disruptions from individuals who might demand money or create unnecessary disturbances, including street touts commonly known as agberos. To avoid such situations, the couple opted for a more relaxed setting where they could celebrate the occasion without distractions.

Jarvis added that choosing Ghana allowed them to enjoy the memorable moment in a calm atmosphere, making the engagement experience more meaningful and enjoyable.

Her words…

“Peller didn’t engage me in Nigeria because they’re a lot of people in Nigeria with bad intentions to spoil everything for us, or even Agbero that will come and ask us to pay them money. So, we just had to think outside the box for somewhere peaceful and calm.”
