  • The actor described the comment as insensitive and said it reflected what happens when people misuse social media platforms.

Nollywood actor Mofe Duncan has fired back at a social media user who suggested that the outpouring of love and support being shown to late actor Alex Ekubo is insincere.

The exchange began after the actor shared a post related to Alex Ekubo, prompting a commenter to question the sincerity of those mourning him.

The individual wrote:

“All these show of so-called love, if dem say make one of una come die in his place now, voicemail!”

The remark appeared to anger Mofe Duncan, who responded sharply.

“Don’t be daft!! You already look it… don’t act it publicly.”

Sharing a screenshot of the exchange on his Instagram page, the actor expressed his frustration over the comment and criticized the mindset behind it.

“Just look at this… persona non grata,” he wrote across the screenshot.

Mofe Duncan further added:

“This aggravated me. This is what happens when you put smart phones in the hands of individuals who were not raised right.”

The actor’s response has since generated reactions online, with many supporting his stance and arguing that people should be allowed to grieve and honor the memories of loved ones without having their motives questioned.
