Delta State Deputy Governor, Monday Onyeme, has expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will win the 2027 general elections in the state. Onyeme made the statement on Thursday at Utagba-Ogbe, Ward 1, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, while presenting a N5 million reward to the ward for recording the highest number of registered members during the APC’s e-registration exercise.
He said Ward 1 recorded more than 5,000 registered members during the exercise, adding that the turnout demonstrated the ward’s support for the party. “Let me assure you, nobody can beat the APC in Delta State,” Onyeme said, attributing his confidence to what he described as the achievements of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s administration.
The deputy governor urged residents to support the APC through their votes, saying the party’s performance would determine its electoral prospects. He also disclosed that Ndokwa West ranked third in the state in the number of members registered during the e-registration exercise. Onyeme said Ward 1 had promised to deliver more than 30,000 votes for the APC in the next general elections. A political leader in the ward, Emmanuel Egri-Okwaji, commended the deputy governor for fulfilling his pledge.
The APC candidate for the Ndokwa West State Constituency, Princewill Olie, also thanked Onyeme, while the local government APC Chairman, Anselm Nzete, pledged the ward’s support for the party’s candidates. The APC Ward 1 Chairman, Napoleon Aduwe, attributed the party’s support in the area to the accessibility of its leaders.
