…Presents Letter of Credence to President Lee Jae Myung

Prof. Nora Ladi Daduut has formally assumed office as Nigeria’s Ambassador to the Republic of Korea after presenting her Letter of Credence to South Korean President Lee Jae Myung at the Blue House in Seoul.
Daduut was among eight newly appointed ambassadors who presented their credentials to President Lee during a ceremony held on Wednesday, formally accrediting them to begin their diplomatic assignments in South Korea.The ambassadors represented Brazil, El Salvador, Colombia, Laos, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Tanzania and Nigeria. Following the presentation of her credentials, Daduut became Nigeria’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Korea.
Speaking after the ceremony, Daduut pledged to strengthen relations between Nigeria and South Korea, with a focus on trade, investment, technology, education, cultural exchange and other areas of mutual interest. She said her mission would prioritise Nigeria’s national interests while promoting mutually beneficial partnerships between the two countries. Daduut also assured Nigerians living in South Korea of an open-door policy at the Nigerian Embassy, promising to promote their welfare and encourage stronger people-to-people, educational and business ties.
The ambassador thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the confidence reposed in her and pledged to attract greater Korean investment, technology and innovation to support Nigeria’s economic development. Before the credential ceremony, Daduut met with Kim Young Chae, President of the Korea-Africa Foundation, where they discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between Nigeria and South Korea.
