Appeal Court Affirms Kenneth Udeze As Authentic National Chairman Of Action Alliance

The Court of Appeal, Abuja Judicial Division, on Tuesday dismissed an application brought by the Adekunle Omoaje faction of the Action Alliance (AA) challenging the authority of Chief Kenneth Udeze-led leadership to instruct legal representation for the party.

The application sought to challenge the competence of Barr. Madeh Yakubu, Esq. who was duly briefed by Barr. Udeze, the authentic National Chairman of Action Alliance, to represent the party in Appeal No. CA/ABJ/CV/854/2026: _ADC vs Incorporated Trustees of Former Legislators & Ors_ — a case concerning the deregistration of five political parties.

In its ruling, the Court described the application as an abuse of court process, noting that Mr. Adekunle Omoaje already has a pending appeal before the Supreme Court challenging the same judgment of the Court of Appeal, which affirmed Udeze as the authentic National Chairman of Action Alliance.

According to a statement issued by Vernimbe A. James, the AA National Secretary made available to Daily Independent,
the Court further issued consequential orders, including an award of ₦500,000 in costs against Omoaje in favour of Udeze.

He stressed: “With this latest decision, the Court of Appeal has once again affirmed that the leadership of Chief Barr. Kenneth Udeze remains the valid and subsisting leadership of the Action Alliance, and that its earlier judgment to that effect remains extant and binding.”
