Colossus Investments Limited, a leading player in Nigeria’s agro-industrial sector, recently hosted the Executive Management of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) at its corporate head office in Lagos. The high-profile visit served to formally acknowledge Colossus Investments for its substantial contributions as one of the premier non-oil exporters in the country, actively driving Nigeria’s recent historic milestone of $6.1 billion in non-oil export earnings in 2025.

The delegation was received by the leadership of Colossus Investments, led by the company’s Chairman and Founder, Otunba Babatola Faseru, who currently serves as the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security in Osun State, alongside the Managing Director, Oreoluwa Faseru.

As a dominant institutional exporter of cocoa and cashew, Colossus has formally generated and repatriated over $140 million USD (approx. ₦194 billion) into the domestic banking ecosystem since 2023, backed by a robust decentralized infrastructure network.

During the presentation to the NEPC delegation, led by the Executive Director/CEO, Mrs. Nonye Ayeni, Managing Director Oreoluwa Faseru, emphasized that the company is moving aggressively beyond traditional raw commodity trading toward full vertical integration and high-yield industrial processing.

“The future of Nigerian exports lies in origin-based manufacturing and domestic value-addition. We are actively executing this through the final installation phases of our state-of-the-art Cashew Processing Facility in Osun State. This facility will not only capture higher global margins but will secure complete farm-gate-to-container traceability, ensuring strict compliance with stringent international regulations like the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR),” she stated.

The strategic dialogue centered on critical economic growth levers, including macro policy incentives favouring local processing, the protection of logistics corridors against arbitrary transit levies, and optimizing Export Expansion Grant (EEG) utilization cycles to protect factory cash flows.

Commending Colossus Investments for its massive infrastructure footprint, compliant repatriation frameworks, and significant volume contributions, the NEPC leadership reiterated the council’s rigorous support for premier operators driving Nigeria’s industrial transition.
