Arising from enlarged meeting of DYC by group’s critical stakeholders across the three Senatorial Districts, 25 LGAs and Wards in the State on Sunday, July 12, 2026, held in Asaba, Delta State capital, a group under the aegis of Delta Youth Coalition, DYC has embarked on massive sensitization of Deltans, Nigerians on the imperatives of ensuring that they have their Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) as 2027 general elections draw closer.
Daily Independent learnt this from the President-General of Delta Youth Coalition, DYC, Comrade Chibuzor Kingsley Agunwa(JP) also known as Mr Dash, the Supervisory councillor for Special Duties, Oshimil South LGA today being on Sunday, July 12, 2026 as he urged electorates to ensuring they exercise their civic duties, while appealing to the citizens to support all APC candidates; Sen. Dr. Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa for Delta North senatorial race, Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu comes 2027 general elections.
DYC Boss, who during the meeting charged members to go back to their various polling units, wards and local Governments to sensitize the citizens even more, especially on the numerous Administration’s achievements so far recorded by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori in different economic Sectors.
Agunwa, a grassroots mobilizer, an astute politician and Delta Youth Leader par excellence, had highlighted progress made so far by Oborevwori’s Government in Delta State in sectors such as: Education, Youth and Women development, Science and technology, Agriculture, healthcare, social Network & Investments, Infrastructural Development, and others.
Angunwa had also urged Deltans to utilize every opportunity in line with INEC timing to ensure that they register, collect, and consequently exercise their franchise; Vote for APC Candidates as part of their Civic responsibilities during the forthcoming 2027 general elections in Delta State and Nigeria in general.

In his words: “First and foremost, I must commend your continuous support and commitment to Hon. High Chief Obi Kelvin Ezenyili’s, Oborevwori’s, and Tinubu’s administration in this first tenure. This is the second tenure of Governor Oborevwori and President Tinubu. DYC will continue to complement efforts of Government at all levels to promote Youth and women development, engagement and empowerment, especially at the grassroots level”.
“Also, I want to use this medium to appeal to our DYC group members to continue in their usual support to the Federal Government led by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Delta State Government led by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to deepen democracy in Delta State and Nigeria. As the 2027 elections draw closer, I hereby urge every member of DYC to ensure that he or she sensitizes and engages other electorates for APC victory in Delta State.
“I want to also appeal to Government at all levels to intensify more efforts in ensuring that citizens get the dividends of democracy for rural, grassroots development, socio-economic and sustainable development of the State and Nigeria in general”.
